Programme outline- September 2019- September 2021
Our programme has been tailored to offer you early exposure into real manufacturing over a 2 year period. By putting you at the heart of the action you will quickly gain the engineering experience, commercial know-how and decision making skills required to manage real projects and take a successful business to even higher levels of performance. Unlike other graduate schemes, the Hydram programme allows you to gain a broad range of experience in all aspects of a manufacturing business in a relatively short time period.
The graduate training scheme begins with a thorough induction. Over your first 6 months you will gain understanding of all manufacturing operations and administrative support functions of the business. Our programme provides hands-on experience for full appreciation of the capabilities and limitations of manufacturing machines and processes.
After the induction period you will be immersed in responsible positions by completing a number of 2-3 month projects covering key areas of the business such as;
Design for Manufacture
Systems and IT
Dynamic group placement. A 2-4 week industrial problem solving project at one of our sites in the American Midwest between Chicago and Detroit. You will experience new ways of working and deliver results in an international setting.

It’s your career and we take a flexible approach, encouraging you in the areas you enjoy most, where there is a business need.
