Winning Combination! Punch Laser now at Hydram...

Laser Punch Combination Machine

Hydram Sheet Metalwork has commissioned its latest significant investment - a new Punch Laser Combination machine!   The machine was commissioned in March 2007.  Ivan Russell, Commercial Manager, says, “The new Trumpf combination machine will benefit our customers in terms of increasing the variety and complexity of jobs we can undertake while at the same time cutting processing times.”

“The combination machine compliments our existing CNC punches and lasers by combining both functions.  While punching lends itself to more regular shapes and allows for some forming operations, lasers negate the need for special tools and allow complex, but unformed shapes, to be cut.  Combining both processes reduces the number of secondary operations.” says Ivan.

The new TC6000L combination machine was commissioned in March 2007 and includes several automation options.  Ivan explains, “The additional extended tool magazine and automated sheet loading with part picking gives Hydram the added benefit of being able to run un-manned maximising efficiency while minimising processing times which is critical in our business.”
